Vauxhall Corsa-e Hatchback (2020 - 2023) 100kW Anniversary Edition 50kWh 5dr Auto [11kWCh] Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I pre-ordered the Corsa-e back in February 2022 and finally got the car delivered in October 2022, after numerous excuses that the dealership gave me. Ok, the car itself looks good, handles good and performs well. The battery life is woeful in this winter season, managing a measly 150 miles if you are lucky. The car has been back to the dealership already with the following defects/issues:
1. When selecting a profile on the infotainment system, the whole system turns to Spanish! - This has now been rectified.
2. Rear reversing camera quality is very poor. I have a cheap Digital camera that has better quality. The view is obscured by the number plate, covering 1/4 of the screen and the camera mount is not 100% secure - This issue is fine as Vauxhall have stated to me.
3. The interior glove box has no dampening effect when opening. The last car that did not have this was my Ford Cortina back in 1989!
4. No rear interior lighting - very frustrating in the winter season if loading kids or pets to the rear sears.
5. Automatic headlights randomly come on and off when cars come the other way - can be quite hazardous for other road users.
6. Bonnet catch has excessive play - approx.. 1/2" movement up and down - again the dealership said this is fine.
7. The car continually fogs/mists up on the inside of all windows. I have to keep the rear heated screen on for every journey, otherwise you will not see out the back. I have tried this on all settings and nothing changes - Vauxhall have tested the system and they say no fault found. After further investigation, I have found the controls for screen, vent and feet do not function correctly - Car going back to Vauxhall again. This can be very dangerous when driving and the front screen fogs up and you end up trying your hardest to get it clear while driving. Also, no good for dashcam, as the display is hampered from the misting.
I know these things may sound a bit menial, but after spending in excess of £32,000.00, I would of thought the quality of the car would match the price, but sadly Vauxhall.... it doesn't.
Would I buy this car again........ NO!
Our main family car is a Skoda Octavia - Superb quality and fantastic customer service. Looks like I will be going to Skoda in 3 years to upgrade.
